Normally the campgrounds at Hungry Mother State Park are closed between December 1 and March 1 each year.This year the park is trying something new, they are keeping 16 sites in the Camp Burson Campground open!
All of the open sites have a water, electric, and sewer hookup. Camp Burson is the largest and newest campground at Hungry Mother and it is also the only one with sewer hookups available. The campground has the newest bathhouse in the park.
Hungry Mother State Park is beautiful all year!
The park’s beach, restaurant, and boats are not available during this time of year but the hiking trails and fishing spots are available all year. Wildlife is always moving. For special events click here.

Registration for sites at Camp Burson will be done at the park’s Discovery Center.
