Originally from Collinsville in Henry County, Taylor moved to Clarksville five years ago when her father, Billy Whitlow, came to work at Occoneechee State Park where he is Assistant Manager. Taylor’s interests include photography, music, art, and nature.
Taylor says she accepted this position “because it seems like a great, fun opportunity. I love all the things this park has to offer, the photography and just being able to be a part of Occoneechee is awesome.” Taylor says that the coolest thing at Occoneechee is “the Amphitheater, it's built right in front of the lake. It's got one of the best views I've ever seen.” The amphitheater at Occoneechee is a popular weding venue, and is the location for the annual "Jazz By The Lake" festival.
Taylor will join other 35 state parks. Interested youth should contact the park nearest them, as some locationsstill need volunteers to fill this position.
