The American Flag flies over federal buildings, state buildings, city buildings, schools, parks, businesses, and private homes. The American Flag has been carried by our armed forces in every field of battle, from the American Revolution to the Civil War, to World War I and World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, to Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
It is fitting that on this Veterans Day as we remember all those men and women who have fought for our country and freedoms that we take the time to retire worn flags that have completed their service representing our great nation and everything it stands for.
